Transportation Changes
>Must be made through Smart Tag by 1:50
> No changes my go through the office or myself
>No bus guest riders
Homework
>Should only take 20 minutes a day –If longer, PLEASE let me know!
>Each night your child with either have reading or writing or math
> Please read TO your child every night! Even though they are beginning to read, it is still important for you to read to them :)
>Reading Log- optional
>No homework on Fridays
Absences
>You MUST send a note or email when your child is absent-a call will be unexcused!

Any planned absences for 3 days or longer will require a completed
Family Travel Advance Notification Form. Please submit this form to office staff at least 5 days prior to the absence.
Housekeeping
>Snacks- Nutritional, and easy to clean up! I have spoons and forks, if needed. Feel free to keep extras in backpacks.
>Water Bottles- flip top, please no screw tops
>Light sweater or jacket to leave in desk
>Write your child’s name on EVERYTHING!
>Water bottles and sweaters will go home every Friday to be cleaned.
>Headphones- easy and comfortable, no ear buds
Star of the Week
>Each child has their own week to shine!
>Please mark your calendar the week chosen for your child. If it does not work, please let me know.
>Remind email will be sent to you the week before.
>Create a "all about me" poster to bring on Monday
>Friday: "all about me" poster presentation, show and tell, and parent guest reader
FIT (focused instructional time)
> Students will be placed with a teacher that will specialize in a particular phonics skill based on the student's reading level.
> F.I.T is fluid and changes as the needs of our students change.
>This time is also when GT, RTI, or other needs are met if it applies to your child.
Birthdays
>Your child will be recognized at Morning Assembly on his/her birthday.
>If you are having a party that does not involve the entire class, or all boys/all girls, please do not send birthday party invitations to school, but deliver them through an alternate route.
> Treats cannot be brought to school- this is a school wide procedure.
